The Monograph is presented by Lviv State University of Internal Affairs to the State Prize of Ukraine in Science and Technology in 2014

 

This monograph considers the issues of common approaches to legal and philosophical understanding of the phenomena of social, legal and criminal liability of the person; its types, causes, stages and principles. The monograph is based on an analysis of the current legislation of Ukraine, special monographic literature and other specific literature. The author has attempted to present the views of scientists on these issues as widely as possible.

The purpose of thismonograph is a scientific understanding of the complex issues of social responsibility, legal responsibility as its type and penal responsibility of the person in social democraticstate. The author descends from general principles to specific and after that to individual principles that allows him to study wider and deeper theoretical basics of the mechanism of penal and legal regulations.

The monographic study “Philosophical and Legal Understanding of Human Responsibility” has scientific andpractical importance. First of all, it can serve as a basis for further theoretical investigations in this field; secondly, it can be used in drafting legislative acts relating to responsibility of the person; thirdly, it may be useful to law enforcement when dealing with specific administrative and criminal cases; fourth, this monograph can be used in the educational process of law schools.

Scientificresults of this work were approved at some scientific conferences. They are also reflected in 2 monographs, 2 textbooks, more than 15 scientific papers and reports.
