The main direction of the project is a comprehensive solution to environmental problems in cities through the use of resourcesaving technologies to combat solid and liquid industrial waste and improve the level of the existing air pollution monitoring system. To achieve this goal, it is planned to analyze the current environmental monitoring system (air component), make a proposal for the concept of creating a network of public monitoring of air pollution, compile a design layout of visualization of cartographic data of the spatial distribution of pollutant concentrations and implement a website to publish air pollution measurements. through public monitoring.

The project also envisages the utilization of liquid industrial waste by installing underground insulated tanks made of soil-cement piles using deep soil mixing technology, which are combined into impenetrable solid separate screens. Reliable insulation of waste is provided by sufficient values of strength and water resistance of the material, and manufacturing technology avoids unwanted noise and vibration in cities, and due to the use of local material, resource efficiency of tanks of the described design.

As Ukraine is among the top ten countries (9th place) with the amount of solid industrial waste per capita (over 10 tons), the problem of their utilization and processing requires the search for new progressive solutions. Scientific rationalist approaches make it possible to transform the disadvantages of close proximity to densely populated areas of the giants of the mining, metallurgical and chemical industries through the use of non-toxic sludge and slag waste in the construction of new residential areas. This will reduce the cost of materials, their transportation and storage in the case of modern reinforced concrete building structures directly at the storage of solid waste, and the use of closed external bulk sheet and profiled reinforcement in combination with composite polymers can minimize even the toxic effects of materials on stages of installation and operation.

Extensive implementation of resourcesaving technologies studied in practice will significantly reduce the amount of industrial waste subject to long-term storage, namely: suspended particles in gaseous emissions - up to 20%, toxic liquid industrial waste - up to 25%, non-toxic and low-toxic solid industrial waste - up to 15%.
