In order to achieve fundamentally new functional properties, scientific approaches of the structural engineering of a nonequilibrium state on the micro-, submicro-, and nanoscale structural organization of the material are proposed.
The introduction of developed scientific approaches of structural engineering allowed: to create structural models and to obtain resistant to temperature 0.7 ... 0.9 of Tm materials of pseudoalloys with high physical and mechanical properties; to obtain new types of superhard materials in the condensed state on the basis of Zr, Cr, Mo, Ti, Hf, Ta transition metals; to simulate and experimentally establish the critical thickness of the mixed layer (4-7 nm) in multilayer composites with nanodimentional layer thickness, and to offer a multiperiod system with layers of different thickness, which made it possible to achieve ultrahigh hardness of 44.3 GPa; to establish and substantiate by modeling the conditions for achieving high resistance to abrasive wear of high-entropy alloys nitrides.
The experimental results, their theoretical justification and computer modeling are of fundamental importance for the development of the direction of structural engineering at the micro-, submicro-, and nanoscale levels, stimulate the development of the physical materials science of the nonequilibrium state, and are the basis for the creation of new classes of thermally stable materials with high physical and mechanical properties, which have practical application in the branches of mechanical and power engineering, as well as aerospace engineering.
Number of publications:133 scientific papers, incl. 106 publications on the subject of the work (12 of them are in foreign editions, 41- in the scientific collections of Scopus) and 32– the theses of conferences. A common amount of references to the works of the authors is 87 (according to Scopus database), h-index = 4, 136 links (according to Google Scholar database), h-index = 4. PhD thesis has been defended based on the results of the research.
