The aim is the creation of energy-efficient cogeneration installations based on biomass combustion for electricity generation using organic Rankine cycle.
The authors on the basis of research calculations determined possibility of generating 80 – 500 kW electric energy from recycling of thermal power obtained from the biomass boiler, by means of cogeneration power installations based turbine cycle with low-boiling working fluid, proposed for autonomous electricity and heat supply of public buildings of small settlements.
Scientific basis for the selection of low-boiling working fluids for closed steam turbine cycles, calculation of thermal schemes and flow parts of turbines of various types, taking into account the properties of the selected working bodies were created.
Basic conceptual bases of a choice of parameters of working bodies in closed steam turbine cycles, depending on the need for heat and electricity generated were formed.
The technical solution which will ensure generation equipment work for the entire year on a constant nominal load, which contributes to the acceleration of project payback was proposed.
A new approach to the formation of cogeneration small power installations was implemented, that will allow them to function regardless of the season and the availability of thermal energy consumers.
Elaboration is not inferior to the world analogues. Global level of scientific work the publication shows, in which relevance of topic for the implementation of low-power cogeneration installations is covered. To solve this problem a new methods are applied that allow us to offer approaches for economize the fossil fuel and energy resources.
R. Shevalskogo Institute of flow machines Polish Academy of Sciences such installation is implemented as a research sample.
Simple payback CHP depends on plant capacity. For example, mini CHP on biomass electric power ~500 kW with modern energy prices amount to 2.7 – 4 years depending on the specific cost of the equipment. It should be noted that the sale of electricity from biomass on "green tariff" payback period of such CHP is reduced by 1.5 times.
The economic effect is achieved by creating a series of cogeneration installation, in which burned renewable fuel resources, this will ensure the small settlements of thermal and electric energy, and save more than 0.5 million m3of natural gas in the year on one power plant, and through the use of contemporary profiles of the blades and seals, changing the shape of meridional contours, to ensure the turbine flow part efficiency ~85 %, which is not inferior to the world analogues.
