The objective of this textbook was to upgrade the level of professional training in pediatrics for the students of stomatological faculties at the expense of systemacity and compactness of description of the present-day concepts on child development and the most common infection and somatic pathology of childhood.

As of today, this relevant publication, which is adapted to the dentistry needs, combines the fundamentals of up-to-date pediatrics and current tendencies of diagnostics and treatment of stomatological diseases in children. The issues of pediatrics, which are fundamental for dentists, are considered in details in the textbook; present-day aspects of etiology, pathogenesis, diagnostics, treatment and prevention of the most common somatic and infection diseases of childhood as well as physiology and pathology of infants are described in this textbook. Description of clinic and algorithms of healthcare in case of medical emergencies, which can occur during rendering of dental health service to children, is very important.
