The nominated series consists of 10 publications, including the textbook "International Business" (three editions) classifed  by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, four scientific monographs and five textbooks.

The aim of the series of publications   is in-depth, systematic study of the processes occurring  in nowaday  international business, analysis of the new conditions of its functioning; challenges and threats facing the international business activities, the development of practical recommendations for the further integration of Ukrainian companies in the European and global business structure; strengthening  their international competitiveness; training of highly qualified specialists in the sphere of international business.

The authors, based on theoretical studies and experiments identified trends, patterns, challenges and threats of the modern system of international business in the context of globalization and the information technology revolution; the specifics and peculiarities of participation of Ukraine and national business entities in international business; directions, mechanisms and  instruments  to strengthen the   international  competitive position of our country; the main priorities for the training of specialists in the field of international business at the universities of Ukraine.

The series of publications  built up the scientific basis for further theoretical studies of the  international business  in general and its components such as the international management and marketing, risk management and logistics including its  new forms, covering  nano- and biotechnology, venture capital, ecological and social ;as well as for in-depth studies of  the  priorities  of Ukraine's  competative participation in international business projects  and in  foreign economic activity  on external markets.

The authors formulated the basic conceptual framework for addressing a number of the following applied tasks: to develop a methodological and methodical approaches to the analysis of the Ukrainian business environment; identify key factors affecting both the environment and the forms and directions of foreign economic activity of Ukrainian companies; to develop effective methods for the analysis of  factors driving international  competitiveness; to generalize and systematize the existing knowledge about the features of the functioning of the Ukrainian business mechanism, patterns and trends of its further development and  efficiency enhancement ; adapt to the European and world standards with a view to full integration in the world economic structures; substantiate specific functional forms, organizational and institutional mechanisms for Ukrainian companies  to effectively operate in the global competitive space. The publications proposed phased, systemic  consistent actions to optimize the institutional, technical and technological, financial, economic and social foundations of the Ukrainian companies' international business activities, adapting them to European and international standards, thr concrete measures to scale up and diversify the country's exports, increasing the share of Ukraine in the high-tech, knowledge-intensive exports.The number of the above proposals and recommendations presented in the form of memoranda and analytical  papers presented to  the state authorities, local governments,  professional and industry associations of entrepreneurs were implemented in their business activities.

The series  cosely corresponds to the best  international practics of similar  publications, in particular , in logic and structure of the American, British classical textbooks on international business, international economics, management and marketing and international economic relations. At the same time  series  much as possible take into account the peculiarities of doing business in Ukraine and its place in nowaday international business, dialectically combing general patterns of business activity and its  specificity in our country.

Results of the published studies  are fully  implemented  in the educational process of  the universities  of Ukraine  training  experts in the field of international business.

 

The number of publications in the series "Ukraine in nowaday  international business", nominated for award  the State Prize of Ukraine in the field of science and technology in 2017 is 10 editions.
