The purpose of the series of the scientific papers is the development of new and improvement of the existing theoretical and methodological grounds of the protection of family rights and interests in non-action civil proceedings and also creation on this basis the proposals for the optimization of civil procedural and family legislation of Ukraine with the aim to improve the efficiency of justice in family cases.

The scientific novelty of the achieved results is that within this series of the scientific papers the complex scientific research of the institute of protection of family rights and interests in non-action civil proceedings has been conducted for the first time in the national science of the civil procedure law. There have been formulated resolutions and recommendations aimed at solving important scientific and practical problem which lays in the development of the new and improvement of the existing theoretical and methodological grounds of the protection of family rights and interests in non-action civil proceedings and also, based on this, in creation of the proposals for optimization of civil procedural and family legislation of Ukraine with the aim to improve the efficiency of justice in family cases.

Scientific and practical significance of this series of scientific papers is that the achieved results are used in law-making and law-enforcement activities; they also have fundamental significance for further development of civil procedural and family law. These results are the basis for the educational activities; in particular they are used for drafting of the course books, lectures, methodological guidelines and for teaching of the courses «Civil Procedure Law of Ukraine»,«Family Law of Ukraine», «Actual problems of Civil Law and Procedural Law»and others.

The series «Protection of family rights and interests in non-action civil proceedings»consists of 100 scientific papers, including 5 monographs, 14 course books and study guides, 2 research and practical commentaries of the Civil Code of Ukraine, 36 scientific articles, of which 9 are published in foreign magazines, 42 abstracts of the reports of the scientific theoretical and practical round-tables and conferences (including international), thesis for the degree of Doctor of law.
