The physical and chemical bases of synthesis of superhard ceramic materials are developed. They are based on control kinetic parameters of process of formation of microstructure and phase composition during the solidification of molten alloys and electric-sintering alloy.

The new bulk reinforced superhard composite materials have 1.5 times higher hardness, 2 times strength and 3 times the wear resistance. These new lightweight ceramic materials of B-O-C system (B6O, B6O-B4C) has hardness more than 40 GPa and fracture toughness of about 5 MPa•m1/2, which is higher than the world analogues by 35% and 25%, respectively.

It has been proved the technical and economic feasibility of hardfacing with reinforced alloy WC-W2C, doped molybdenum, on the working surface of the screw presses-extruders through industrial testing of an experimental batch powder of "Interdisciplinary research and production center "Epsilon LTD" (Ivano-Frankivsk). The developed alloys are recommended for implementation in industrial production.

The created reinforced ceramic composites of system of Mo-Si-B successfully tested at the SDO“Yuzhnoy” (Dnepr)as materials for camera of fluid engine RD840 that efficiently operate in the temperature range 1200-1600 °C and as a result the operating temperature increasing by 20%, reducing the weight of construction by 27% and reducing the negative environmental impact, demonstrating their energy economic (20-30%), environmental and technological efficiency.

The composites of B-O-C system were used to increase hardness and density of the elements of body armor ceramic plates of VI grade protection that have been successfully tested at the Central Research Institute of weapons and military equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and successfully tested under the agreement between Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Instituteand “Yuzhnoye”SDO.
