The work compiles a substantial amount of factual material dedicated to the study of the history of Ukrainian unity, the Ukrainian Revolution of 1917–1923, utilizing previously unknown archival collections, various electronic databases, and diaspora literature. The books serve as a significant source of information for reconstructing the objective history of the Ukrainian liberation struggles in the first third of the 20th century.

The authors have explored the history of the establishment of Ukrainian statehood in Galicia, Bukovina, and Transcarpathia following the collapse of Austria-Hungary, elucidating the process of these Western Ukrainian lands joining the united Ukrainian National Republic (UNR). The collective publications analyze the preconditions and causes of the Ukrainian Revolution, emphasizing the nationwide scope of the Ukrainians' liberation struggle for their own state. They study the experience of forming government and self-governing bodies, the main directions of domestic and foreign policy, and highlight the biographies of the most notable Ukrainian socio-political, cultural, religious, and military figures.

The primary conclusion of this series of works is the assertion that the unity of Ukraine remains a political ideal for the majority of our citizens today, symbolizing Ukrainian statehood and valor. The cycle of scientific works contains substantial factual material, a Ukrainocentric concept of our people's history from 1917 to 1923, and conclusions used in the educational process with a patriotic and educational purpose.
