Branched water-soluble polymers have been synthesized. Three- and two- component hybrid nanosystems loaded with biologically active substances for chemo- and photodynamic therapy, including small organic molecules, photosensitizers, Silver, Gold and Zinc oxide nanoparticles have been prepared into polymer matrices. The possibility to obtain silver nanoparticles into hydrogel matrix by photochemical reduction from AgNO3 has been proved. It has been demonstrated that the created hybrid nanosystems based on branched biocompatible copolymers significantly increase the effectiveness of anticancer agents for chemotherapy and photodynamic therapy.
The highly stable aqueous nanosystems polymer-drug have increased cytotoxicity, increased concentration of drugs into tumors and enhanced a permeability of drugs directly into tumor cells. Nanosystems with gold and silver nanoparticles in combination with photosensitizers reduced the number of pathogenic microorganisms in vitro. Hydrogels loaded with active components have significantly speed up regenerative processes wound tissues included infected ones. Hydrogels have been proven to be efficient in wound treatment on volunteers where traditional treatment had no effect.
