The strategy for the development of missile and aviation technology in Ukraine in the context of Russian aggression directs its vector towards the creation of low-resource missile systems, aircraft, engines and on-board systems with a limited service life and minimal resource consumption, designed for minimal production and maintenance costs. Currently, such solutions are used in cases where durability is not a critical parameter, and priority is given to simplicity, cheapness, mass production and rapid deployment. This approach makes it possible to mass-produce missiles for multiple launch rocket systems, short- and medium-range cruise and ballistic missiles, anti-aircraft and anti-tank missiles, disposable space carriers, military reconnaissance systems and strike UAVs, disposable delivery drones for military purposes.

            The purpose of the work was to develop materials and technologies for the creation of low-resource aviation and missile technology products, which will increase the level of defense capability and national security of the country.

            Scientific and applied tasks important for the rocket and aviation industry were solved:

            – industrial technologies for the production of metal alloy powders of a given composition and morphology for 3D printing and the latest additive manufacturing technologies based on them for complex-profiled elements of aviation equipment and launch vehicles were created;

            – complex technologies for the production of the main components of solid rocket fuels were developed based on domestic raw materials and available materials;

            – unique winding machines, technological equipment were designed and manufactured, and a production area for the manufacture and quality control of products from polymer composite materials obtained by winding methods was created;

            – a technology for creating a new class of domestic aerodynamic, temperature-resistant, radio-transparent in the ultrahigh frequency range nose antenna fairings of radio-controlled missiles of various classes was developed;

            – technologies for joining carbon-graphite materials with metals, ensuring geometric accuracy of welded tank bodies and aerodynamic fairings of launch vehicles, technologies for testing the tightness of rocket and aviation equipment structures, technologies and equipment for the production of structural elements from polymer composite materials, development and operation of missile complexes, etc. have been developed and improved.

The authors of the work have completed more than 40 state budget, farm contract and international grants and projects for a total amount of more than 100 million hryvnias.

28 doctoral and candidate theses were defended by the authors of the work and under their supervision

The results were implemented at the state-owned enterprise "Design Bureau "Southern M.K. Yangel", JSC "Motor Sich", LLC "Zaporizhzhia Titanium-Magnesium Combine" and LLC "Multiflex". The expected economic effect from implementing the results of this work at JSC "Motor Sich" is over 280 million UAH/year.
