The work is dedicated to the development and serial production of a model range of specialized multi-purpose armored vehicles with a high level of ballistic and anti-mine protection, which are intended for the transportation and fire support of the Personnel, transportation of cargo and special equipment to the area of hostilities or evacuation from it, conducting the tactical operations of the armed military units. In terms of the technical level, constructive and technical and operational indicators the equipment corresponds to the best world analogues.

The authors provided a theoretical and experimental assessment of the stability of the structure of the armored body of the specialized armored vehicles of the following models, with respect to the explosive load caused by the detonation of an explosive substance of a high-explosive action and the determination of the most exposed damaged structural elements.

The scientific novelty consists in the radical change of the known data from the theoretical assessment of survivability, ballistic and anti-mine resistance of the specialized armored vehicles with the determination of pressure and acceleration acting on the crew members during an explosive load on the bottom.

During the design, production and testing the original scientifically and economically based constructive solutions were developed to ensure the combat capability of specialized equipment, t. i. the mine-resistant bottom, machine-gun ring, sandwich-type armor, remotely controlled weapon sets. The construction of wheel protection is original, as well as the fire extinguishing system and equipment for maintaining the necessary climatic condition in the crew module. The methodology for determination of the economically grounded survivability of the armored vehicles mathematical modeling of the dynamic behavior of the structure and the crew model during the detonation of fougasse explosive substance, welding and assembly technologies, determination of mechanical properties, of armored materials has been developed using the line programming methods.
